Fittest Box in Wichita! (and Tues WOD)
CrossFit has changed my life and allowed me to reach fitness goals I thought had long passed me by. I continue my journey down this path because I enjoy helping others reach their goals as well. Watching people get their first pull-up or PR their squat is nearly as exciting for me as it is for them. That really is the best part of what we do and seeing those changes is why I continue to do this each and every day. I’ve always told people that CrossFit is for anyone as long as you’re willing to work hard and I truly believe that.
Having said that, there’s another side to CrossFit and that’s the sport. Naturally, any environment where exercise is measured will breed competition. And competition breeds excellence. Having your strengths and weaknesses smack you square in the face can be quite a humbling experience. Because of this I wanted to say congratulations to everyone that competed in the 2014 Open. You all put in amazing efforts and you should be proud. For those of you that didn’t compete maybe that should be your goal for next year.
And just in case you didn’t know, the CrossFit 316 team finished the 2014 Open as the top ranked box in Wichita! So, if you just want to get in better shape and do it with a bunch of fun individuals then we can do that. Or if you want to be competitive and throw down then we can do that too. There’s a place for everyone here and that’s why I love it (granted I’m a bit biased).
A special shout out goes to Coach Morgan who finished the Open with the highest ranking of all Wichita athletes! Stay strong everyone and keep reaching for new goals!
